I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Andrika in Nashville at our corporate training events and know first hand that she is a real dynamo! As I alsways say. I am astounded by the calibre of people joining our business and love that I get to surround myself with those striving to fulfill God's calling. “We are all more alike than we are different, and most of us are striving to be better versions of ourselves.”
A year ago, Andrika Langham was looking for an opportunity that would help her become a better version of herself. As a chef and owner of a successful catering company, she had an extremely busy schedule. She found her work exciting and enjoyed what she was doing, but there was a downside. “I knew that I wasn’t being a great wife, or a present mother, because I was always tired. A lot of wonderful things were happening for my company, but they came at the cost of me not being the wife, mother, and friend I wanted to be.” She wanted to find a way to spend less hours working and away from her kids, who were already growing up so fast. She wanted to be fully present when she spent quality time with her husband, Cary, who often travels for business. And she also wanted to be more available as a friend. But she had no idea where to begin looking for a career change, and there weren’t enough hours in her day to do the research she needed to do. “I know it sounds ridiculous, but what I really wanted was for an opportunity to find me.” As fate would have it, that opportunity did find her, and it couldn’t have come along at a better time.

Andrika learned about the Rodan + Fields® business opportunity from a new friend, Ali Box, who had recently moved into town. She remembers how present Ali always seemed to be, and it was a quality she admired and wanted to emulate. The decision to become a Rodan + Fields Independent Consultant was easy to make, because Andrika saw that it was an opportunity that would allow her to have the time freedom she had always dreamed about. Since joining, it has enabled her to live the life she wanted, and to be the better version of herself she knew she could become. A month after starting her Rodan + Fields business, she walked away from her catering job, and a year later has matched her former salary.
Because she can set her own schedule and take the business anywhere, she can be the type of mother she envisioned. She can pick up her daughters from school at three, and be finished with her workday. The rest of the afternoon and evening is devoted to them, and that has made a huge difference in her life. With her catering work, she felt like she had to devote more hours to her job than she could to her own children, and now she has reversed that situation. “I am so thankful that I can have this time with them while they are still very young, because kids grow up so fast. Before you know it, they’re off with friends, dating, and they have their own lives. So I want to make this time count.” Not having to meet the demands of a stressful type of career also means she not only has more time, but that the time she has is quality time. “Now, when I’m with my daughters or my husband or having lunch with a friend, I am fully present. My mind isn’t wandering or worrying about the stress of my job. It feels great to be able to live in the moment and enjoy life.
We all want to enjoy our lives, be the best we can be, and have work that is meaningful. What Andrika loves most about her Rodan + Fields business is feeling like she is impacting the lives of others in a meaningful way and forming relationships with many different people from around the country. “Being an African-American, I was so excited to see the diversity that was represented by the Rodan + Fields Independent Consultant team. That stood out to me right away, because skin is skin.” Andrika believes the business opportunity has the potential to change the lives and skin of people, no matter their race, ethnicity, or background. “At some point in our lives we have all been faced with a skin issue, whether it’s sensitive skin, blemishes, or signs of aging. We all have this experience in common and can relate to each other. I love working with a team of people who have come together from all kinds of backgrounds and of all nationalities to work toward a common goal: changing skin and changing lives.”
Yet another success story as we are "Changing Skin and Changing Lives" one person at a time.
